We are delighted to announce IPAC's first conference and to welcome you to the new conference website.

Two major advances in primary health care in the past decade have been the development of the Primary Health Care Strategy and the achievements of the IPA's, through what has come to be recognised as Organised General Practice.

Our conference will provide a unique opportunity to bring together all the key parties interested in Advancing the Primary Health Care Strategy. We will also demonstrate, for the first time, many significant achievements accomplished through Organised General Practice. We will examine and illustrate how Organised General Practice will continue to develop, and to support and advance the Primary Health Care Strategy. These are challenging and exciting times in the evolution of our health service. We have opportunities in New Zealand that are the envy of many countries, this conference is part of realising these opportunities.
