Now that IPAC 06 is, as they say, Finito, it seems
only appropriate to do a little post-conference reflecting. First
of all, thank you to everyone who was involved in making IPAC06
such a success, whether in a speaking, attending, facilitating,
questioning, grooving, exhibiting or organizing role. We sincerely
hope you enjoyed being part of IPAC 06 as much as we did bringing
it to you.
So what made IPAC 06 special? Here are a few highlights,
the:
- Opening address by his Excellency the Governor-General
Anand Satyanad
- Debate generated after the Honourable Pete Hodgson’s
address
- Excellence of our three key-note speakers from
the UK – Sir Donald Irvine, Dr Richard Smith and Dr Judith
Smith
- Enthralling panel discussions and questions generated
by the delegates
- Quality of the Exhibitors stands and information
- Presenting by ProCare of a Waka Huia to outgoing
Chair Dr Doug Baird on behalf of IPAC, as a “basket of Knowledge”
for future IPAC activities
- Mexican Fiesta themed dinner and party
- Plethora of interesting concurrent sessions (how
did delegates choose!)
- Challenge, to make change happen, laid down by
three Fonterra Senior Executives, including Fonterra Chairman
Henry van der Heyden
- Eye-opening results of Dr Conway Powell’s
General Practice Sustainability Survey
- Powerful and challenging “taking over the
helm” address by IPAC’s new Chair Dr Bev O’Keefe
That’s a lot of highlights I hear you say. Well
yes, and isn’t that a good thing! So, if you would like to
get your hands on some of the speaker’s addresses or view
the conference photos then
you can by simply clicking here.
Once again, for those of you who attended –
thank you. And for those of you who didn’t – hopefully
the wonderful comments from colleagues and friends and the information
you can gain from this website will inspire you to join us next
time.
Warm regards,
